Coming Soon
A Place of Rest is growing.
What began as a home for women and their children is becoming a family of homes. The next one is planned for men and boys — and after that, we keep going.
The next home
A home for men and boys is part of what is coming.
A Place of Rest began with women and their children — mothers doing the hardest work there is while they rebuild a life. That work is not finished, and it is not going anywhere.
The next step is a home for men and boys. Not a different kind of care, just another door: a clean room, a calm household, and someone steady to talk to. The same belief holds — that a person who has been through something deserves somewhere safe to land.
Foster children and teens remain part of who we serve. As the organization grows, the men and boys home becomes another option for the people who need one.

“A safe place. A place of trust.”
Stability. Healing. A Better Tomorrow. The promise does not change with the address.
What carries over
The care is the same. The house is new.
A home for men and boys
The next home we open is planned for men and boys — the same calm, the same care, and the same belief that a fresh start belongs to everyone.
The same heart
Women and their children stay at the heart of this work. Every home we open is built on the care they already receive here.
Room to say yes
Each home lets us welcome someone we would otherwise have to turn away. That is the whole reason for growing.
Where this is going
Five to six homes.
Restoring Lives. Building Futures.
The goal, in Chenevea’s own terms, is five to six homes — enough that more people have a safe place to rest and rebuild, and enough that a hard season does not have to mean a hard address.
We look forward to the day we open each one. No dates promised here, and nothing rushed. A home is worth opening properly.
The heart of it
Women and their children remain the heart of A Place of Rest. Every new home is built on the care they receive today.
